Family: Mother (Dragon), Father (dog/unknown)
Abilities: Keen sense of smell, Combustion (Though has very little control of it) Can communicate with any creature, Prehensile Tail (which can support her own weight)
Jinksy is an unusual creature, even in a world of mythical beasts and monsters, for she was conceived in a union between man’s best friend and man’s mortal enemy. How this happened is unclear. Jinksy considers herself to be more dragon like as she was raised by them but constantly felt left out for she lacked one thing(or two things rather) dragons prize themselves on, wings. This gave her a major disadvantage as flight is a dragon’s main means of escape from danger but her mother refused to fly off and abandon her offspring, much to the disapproval of the rest of the flock as she was the alpha female and if she were to perish, the rest would sure follow. So Jinksy decides to set off on her own which her mother reluctantly accepts. Soon after Jinksy finds it difficult to fend for her self and is almost at the brink of starvation but is saved by a friendly young boy, Jack. Jinksy does not take too kindly to him at first due to the long lasting hatred between dragons and humans but soon her dog side shows through and they become the best of friends, in fact she is ferociously protective of him and sees him as a sort of little brother. Jinksy has the loyalty of a dog and fiery temper of a dragon; she is also fairly stubborn and cynical with a black sense of humour, using humour sometimes to mask her fear of nervousness. Despite this she can be very caring and is a good listener. Jinksy will sometimes be the voice of reason for jack though on occasion it can be vice versa if she lets her temper cloud her judgment. She hopes one day Jack, once he becomes a wizard, will help her gain wings which she has wanted all her life and be able to rejoin her mother.
